"Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity"
- Simone Weil

The Unfolding Child Studio space is an anecdote to life’s hurried pace.
Seated on stools on the periphery of the studio space adults are invited to sit back and observe the children at play. The children satisfy their curiosity to act again and again on ideas, to focus and concentrate on their play without adult direction or questions. What is essential for their learning pleasure is that the children discover at their own pace. The space is a child’s laboratory for movement, experimentation, and discovery.
Debbie’s insights draw on her influences from Waldorf education, the work of Dr. Emmi Pikler, Janet Lansbury, Magda Gerber, founder of RIE, and Ute Strub creator of Strandgut sand studio in Berlin, Germany.
Debbie offers a community space where all are welcome. Debbie warmly and expertly facilitates in quiet conversation with the adults as the children play. She hopes adults leave with a renewed sense of wonder, awe, and respect for the competency of children.
